Wrapping Trouble

Its the time of year for shopping, wrapping, baking, and decorating.  I tried to imagine how christmas would be if I was a reindeer.  It would be difficult with no thumbs.  I would get all wrapped up in the ribbon and bows.

Is a published Illustrator

I am so excited to announce that I am now a published Illustrator.  Check out the fall issue of Hybrid Mom magazine, now being sold at Barnes and Nobel.  Look for my drawings on page  6, 46, 47, and page 48.  The food watercolor and the pen and ink drawings are done by me.  I am ever excited and it feels great to see my name in print.

And check back soon for my Winter Poll for a chance to win a free gift bag.

My Friendly Typer

Hi my name is Charlie and I love to sing, dance, chew, and type.  Listing to different sounds is a joy in my life.  The sound that a bell makes and the noise of the tip tap on the key board that I make with me feet.  I also like tapping on the computer screen but mommy gets mad.  Just wanted to sat "Hello" and I will share more stories soon.

This is my hansom baby boy Charlie.  He is 9 year old Cocktail that has been part of my life since he was 8 months old.  He is great company and always brings a smile to my face with all the silly things he does.

My second story bedroom and studio and the beautiful view.  I now and then will see deer in the backyard.  This is just a baby and the mom is somewhere near by.

Here is a close up of the deer eating the grass.  My dad is not so happy about this since the grass was just  planted.

Fall Rooster

I went for a walk at Colonial Williamsburg and stumble across these roosters.  The rooster cage was covered so I had to photograph threw the wood siding.  I love how the wood frames the photo and the colors of the rooster.

Pumpkin Carving - Halloween

My mom and I carved pumpkins for Halloween like we do almost every year.  My favorite part is cleaning out the pumpkins before I start carving. I carved the Frankenstein pumpkin and my mom carved the skeleton.  They came out great but we did not have any trick or treater.

Beginning of Fall in Colonial Williamsburg

I took at walk threw Colonial Williamsburg yesterday to capture the begging of fall.  I hope to capture a year in Williamsburg.

Out by the James River

It is starting to look a lot like fall.  I live very close to the James river.  It is a very inspiring place to live.  I enjoy walking the different trails threw the woods and along the river.  I still have not seen a deer on my walks but when i do I will post a photo.

I live in Williamsburg, Va

Hey, so this past weekend I packed up and moved to Williamsburg, VA.  It is great up and there is so much do.  The leaves are changing and it is starting to get cold.  Fall is my favorite season and since I have lived in the south the past four years this is the first time I have seen it in a long time.  I love the smells, colors, food, apple cider, carving pumpkins, and eating candy.

Parents New House

My parents moved to Williamsburg VA.  It is a great little town that has a lot to do.  Theme parks, rivers to swim in, VA beach, and lots of cute restaurants and shops.  The painting above was painted by me with watercolor.  It is a gift for them and they are going to use it on a post card.  They are sending post cards to there friends with there new address.  What a great idea.

Big Red got Keyed

I will never understand why some one would want to cause damage to someone else car.  My car was keyed this past weekend while park in front of my apartment, that bothers me even more.  I would be less up set if it happened while I was out.  There is noting I can do but pay for it to get re-painted.

Flowers come in Many Colors

It has been a quiet Friday, of cleaning and putting things away in my apartment.   So I have been working on some different designs for greeting cards which are posted above.  It is a board of my designs and color swatches.  Let me know what you think. I need help trying to decide on what colors to use.  Thanks

World full of Color

Sunset at the Gulf of Florida

A simple photo of the ocean can be so inspiring with all of the colors and movement.  I like to use these types of photos for color pallets.  You can use the eyedropper tool to grab the colors from the photo to help make a color pallet, its is real easy.
